Jon Stewart Takes on "Petty Woman"
I love Jon Stewart. I’ve confessed my love and devotion for the star of Comedy Central’s Daily Show many times in the past but I renew my admiration nearly nightly while viewing the show. Last night was no exception. In just a few minutes aided with some video clips and graphics Jon took down Sarah Palin or as he called her “Petty Woman” for trying to play the victim in an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News.
If she wasn’t helping drive up President Obama’s approval ratings on an almost hourly basis http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/01/gallup-poll-palins-unfavorability-hits-record-high.php
I would tell her to shut up but now I’m thinking, just let her run down like a battery operated toy. Sooner or later people with functioning brains and a semblance of sense will catch on to this woman’s overwhelming ego and near total ignorance of politics and current events and simply turn away in disgust.
If you haven’t seen this clip, take a moment and enjoy.

Gov. Haley Hikes Salary for Key Aides
Gov. Nikki Haley is paying a $125,000 salary to her chief of staff, Tim Pearson. That’s a $27,000 increase over what her predecessor, Gov. Mark Sanford, paid his chief of staff. Trey Walker, a Republican workhorse who has slogged for both John McCain and former Attorney General Henry McMaster, will get just over $122,000 a year as her deputy chief of staff and head of legislative affairs.
Both are making more than Haley’s annual $106,000 salary as governor. Critics have decried the big salaries in a time of statewide economic crisis, while Haley’s office has defended the salaries, saying she’s trimmed the overall number of staffers from Sanford’s administration. Then again, Sanford was famed for being preternaturally cheap.

Palin and Beck Fueling Hatred All The Way To The Bank
I’m going to appear on WSPA’s Scene on 7 today and one of our topics is Sarah Palin’s violent rhetoric and the fact that her gun sight map, http://www.facebook.com/notes/sarah-palin/dont-get-demoralized-get-organized-take-back-the-20/373854973434 targeting certain Democratic candidates including Rep. Gifford is still posted on her Face book page. Palin’s camp has been trying to spin the map since the shooting in Arizona. They contend that those aren’t cross hairs on the map but surveying symbols. Yeah, right. Funny how they failed to mention this fact when the map was first made public and provoked a storm of controversy including criticism of Palin by Rep. Gifford, who felt threatened by the map and the fact that her race was one of those targeted. Rep. Gifford’s office was later vandalized after she voted in favor of the health care reform bill and a man dropped a hand gun at one of her public appearances. Both of these events occurred in advance of the shooting last weekend.
